We're Dreaming of a White Christmas

It is December 14th and today I walked out of school without my coat on. The high today was 50 degrees, normal high is 27 degrees F. We have no snow and let me mention we haven't really had a snowfall yet this year. In the last few days, it has rained a little but nothing worth mentioning I guess.

Lake Superior is at it's lowest level ever due to drought conditions. The lakes around the area are dangerous because of all the warm weather. They did freeze at one point but now are opening up again. The tulips are thinking about waking up and the skunks are up.

I keep telling Kiran we will drive around some night and look at the lights once it snows. It might not happen until they are all down.

Is anyone else having just weird, unseasonable weather in their parts?

Hi Mary,

Where I live in the tropics, the weather is always warm and sunny around this time of the year :)

Go ahead and take Kiran out to look at the lights anyway. That is what makes good memories are made of. Both the seasonable and unseasonable weather.

Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2007!

Enid~

55 degrees here in New York. I don't think snow is in the forecast!

PS: Happy early holiday wishes to you and your family!

Man, we are SO in the same boat! It's weird.

Go look at the lights anyway! It helps.

this would be an ideal time to view "an inconvenient truth"
in this instance, the truth hurts.

No snow here in Mtl and not expected. Very mild today..Tomorrow a little cooler.

I made the right choice , not searching for my clumpy winter boots..lol

Totally! Here in Boston we are having all kinds of warm weather. Today (Dec. 17), a bunch of folks were in the park today without coats or jackets playing frisbee.

60's here all last week, it finally has dropped into the 40's though they're predicting thunderstorms and an inch of rain for this afternoon...

Of course, when that blows through here and heads your way you might get your White Christmas!

Happy Holidays!
