Minnesota leads the way....

Today, the 5th district which includes Minneapolis, has elected the first Muslim member of congress. I congratulate Keith on his victory.

We have also elected our first woman to the US Senate. GO AMY!!!

Now it is a wait for the governor's race. After talking to my dad last night, if the right guy gets elected, it might mean big things for one of my brothers. GO MIKE HATCH!!!!

I am so tired of spending hours every week assessing my kids so the damn republicans can show the damn president we are making progress. I need time to teach, time to plan the lessons I am teaching, I don't need to sit in staff development three hours a week after school. Keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out by the end of the night.

I almost can't believe it. Still hoping for the senate swing, though I guess that's unlikely. It's great news, though...

YEAH!!

WHOOO HOOOOOOOOO! Let's just hope it's a democratic swing in the Senate!

Wasn't the election results just great??? My dear friend, and fellow blogger, Gigi, helped to run Amy's campaign there in MN. I am so glad that she won!!!

Hugs to you and Kiran,
Sarah

Sarah gives me way too much credit,
I was just one of many volunteers on Amys campaign.
I am so happy she was elected but also sad that Mike Hatch lost the Governor race by 22,000 votes..he would have made an awesome Gov..
Minnesota elected their first woman Amy and thier first African American, Keith Ellison
A teacher from Southern Mn. Tim Walz
all good candidates, but then They also elected the kookiest, republican gay bashing woman anyone will ever see..Michele Bachmann, Washington beware..God help us. GiGi
