The JOYS of Parenting

Being told in the morning that you should stay home and snuggle instead of going to work...
Having someone to come home to.....
Being told that you are loved more then the universe......
Watching The Cinderella Story for the 100th time together....
Playing Hi Ho Cherry O.....
Putting together a Dora puzzle....
Reading your favorite story, The Best Pet of All, together....
Playing Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders and trying to lose....
Playing War and losing, not on purpose even....

Most of all....


Being hugged and told you are the most special person, MY MOMMY!!!!

Aaaah. These days I love.

The other days: when it's a fricking Saturday morning and you want to sleep until 6am--is that asking TOO MUCH???--and you can't because one of them is lying on your hair and the other one is digging his elbows into your thigh for balance while he pulls his clothes on...

Someday I'll think of this and smile.

hi ho cherry o was my favorite...it has been around since i was a kid, which was a longggg time ago, and i played it with my kids as well...as the mom of now grown kids, i say to you - enjoy every single moment, even the ones where you want to scream...it goes so fast...
